How to get yourself outside on a run when it's the last thing you feel like doing

1. Get dressed in your athletic gear. Now sometimes this fails but if you're already dressed for it that's one less excuse. Also, if enough people ask you why you look like you're ready for a run, it's pretty hard to then not run!
2. Plan on a time to leave the house and stick it in your work or personal calendar. Block it out and then don't think too much about it when the time arrives, just get out that door.
3. Make a playlist (in advance) and press play while you're putting on your sneakers.
4. Start the run but don't focus on time. If you're really struggling leave the watch at home and base it on how you feel.
5. Give it 20 minutes before you give up! It takes your body a while to adjust so don't expect it to be easy at first.
